Newsflash

Stretch marks are red to white, long, sometimes depressed scars that can stay in your skin for a long time.

When your skin is excessively stretched during pregnancy, weight gain or growth spurts, stretch marks or striae can show. They can also be caused by certain medications, including hormones and steroids. Stretch marks occur when quickly expanding skin is stretched to its limit and small tears appear in the supporting layers of skin.

Getting into the Halloween spirit PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 24 October 2007

Halloween is a fun holiday to prepare for with the kids. There are lots of fun things to do to get ready for Halloween and get everyone into the spirit of the holiday. A really fun thing to do the weekend or so before Halloween is to visit a pumpkin patch so that each of your kids can pick out their own pumpkin. Then you can go home, make hot chocolate and everyone can carve their pumpkin. Don't forget to roast the pumpkin seeds! It will make for a really fun day for everyone.

Once the pumpkins are carved it's time to decorate the house with spider webs, ghosts, witches and broomsticks. It's also really fun to record some scary music that you can play whenever anyone comes over and when the trick-or-treaters come to the door.

Next, the costumes...you can either make them or buy them. I'd recommend going online for ideas. Once each child knows what they want to be you can put the costume together with what you have and then buy or make the missing pieces.

Finally, it's time to send out Halloween ecards to your friends and family so they know you are thinking of them. This is a great way for the kids to keep in touch with family and friends especially the ones they won't get to see on Halloween.

Have a wonderful and safe Halloween!
